A little history on my user name . . .

I started this journal to get out from prying eyes and to have a place to post to keep me semi-sane. I've had the same username for irc, yahoo, and AIM for years and wanted something new. Kind of like a rebirth I spose. Anyway, the name Volaticus Orexis is Latin. It means winged desire.

I'm a 25 year old Arizona native. I work doing unified communications support and I write. I'm a pagan, following mostly druidic studies, but still trying to find my path. I'm also a journal whore. This is my primary journal, but I also have <lj user="desertdreaming">, which is my dreamlog, and my latest livejournal <lj user="desertchronicle">. I also have my original online journal, <a href="http://petangel.diaryland.com/000718_17.html"> Rantings of an Unsettled Mind - Take One</a> as well as numerous hard copy *gasp* journals.

I use my journals to rant and rave. Hence the titles "Rantings of an Unsettled Mind." Go figure. I write so that I don't act on the shit going on in my head. I write to avoid cutting and burning and to express here what I can't talk about with people. I have people telling me to call them and open up to them about what I'm feeling or when I'm feeling down or when I need to talk. I don't do that. Yes I will rant to someone I don't know online because I know that the chances of me meeting that person are virtually nil. Anyway. I don't talk to people when I'm down. Period. I write. I seclude. I rant. I'm ok. Everybody has their method of survival. This is mine. . . . And just cuz I may bash on you at times, it doesn't mean I hate you or don't want to be friends. It means I'm angry, hurt or frustrated with you at that particular moment in time. And all of you have been subject to that at least once.

So that being said . . . enjoy. I love feedback so please feel free to comment. I keep most of my entries friends only, so if you want to be added just drop me a line.
